Default Heat seat not working

I never used the seat heat since I bought the car and I tried it for the first time but it's not working. When I press the button it lights up but the seat is cold. The passenger's seat not working either. What's the usual cause for this problem? Thanks

If both seats are not working it's probably just a blown fuse.

But be aware that Jag seat heating is not like the seat heating we are used to from modern cars.
Luke warm is the maximum you'll get and it feels like an eternity until the heating is noticeable.

You'll find the LH & RH Seat Heater Fuse underneath the right heelboard.
According to my 1999 manual it is fuse #18 (25A).

. . . and it is thermostat controlled located within the seat. If the seat is not cold enough the thermostat will not operate.

Here is a link to a similar situation: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ight=seat+heat

Here's another tip:

3 out of 4 of the seats I have all had a broken wire at the 2 pin connector which has the red and black wire that goes up to the seat bottom.

Thanks for the replies guys. I checked the fuse and it seems fine. Not sure how to trace those wires with out a diagram.

You didn't say that you wanted a schematic. Here it is:

Sorry, attachment didn't work. Be back in a minute.

After several attempts to upload the schematic it continues to fail. Post your off forum email address and I will send you a copy.
