Default Heater Hose ID and advise needed

I've finally found the culpret to my Coolant leak, but need help with a part number and best place to get it. I'd post a picture but it'd be hard to identify in birdsnest under the expansion tank. The hose I need is the large 1" 5 outlet combination hose. It has a connector (to metal) on passenger side, branches into two feeds that pass over the top of the transmission bell, and has another large connector on drivers side as well as pump and expansion tank connections. I'd think this is the octupus hose I've heard about, but I can't find it listed that way. Any help with part number and good locations to get one are appreciated. On a related note, is there supposed to be anything between the hose and the top of the transmission bell? The top rib on my transmission has a common rough casting finish, and the hose is laying directly on top of it. Haven't removed the hose yet, but it's obvious that my leak is where these two parts rub together. It seems just as obvious that heat and normal vibration would result in early hose failure if this was the OEM set up. A strap would probaby result in the same so I'm thinking some kind of pad between the two would work but not sure what I should use.

I don't know about a "pad," but what I've used to keep hoses from rubbing on things is to find a short length of slightly larger hose, slit it lengthwise, and then slip it over the section of hose that needs protecting. This will eventually wear, of course, but can easily be replaced.

The simplest things sometimes are the best.

What Boomer suggests is exactly how Jaguar protect the power steering lines from rubbing against the subframe, their rubber tubes have ribs inside for added buffering. Good tip.

Blue, can you i.d. the hose from this picture? then I can give you a part number...

From your description it's the Heater Hose # MNC6733AC

Hi bluerdg

http://www.gaudinjaguarparts.com/par...&siteid=214626

Call Gaudin to see if they have this hose in stock (1-800-585-4704).

Motorcars LTD.com calls this part - Heater Hose 5 Way - Position: Expansion Tank to Heater Valve
Their price is $148.50

4/30/2013 Update: parts4caronline no longer a website on the internet
Here is a weblink to parts4carsonline where SirJag found on the internet when he was looking for this hose (MNC6733AC) shows part number as MNC6733AE price is $120.15:

MNC6733AE

I do not know anything about this online auto parts company.

Here is their contact information from their website:
Phone 718 - 395 - 9398

AKNY Enterprises Corp.
P.O.Box 090066
Brooklyn NY 11209
Attn: Parts4CarsOnline.com

Here is another forum thread (can't find part for sale anywhere) where forum member goodz4u2 found and bought this part:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...nywhere-53067/

But he does not say anywhere in the thread where he bought it and the price paid.

His last login was in mid April this year.

I send him an email this evening asking where and what price.
