Unhappy Heater woes

Hi all

As it is fast approaching winter, I thought I'd better have a look at my heater (I have a 1999 XJR) as it is getting difficult to see out in the morning.

After a little research, I have tried the following
1. I have checked out the heater pump - I even took it off and ran it from a 12v supply, so i know it works
2. I have flushed the heater matrix, perfectly clear
3. I have checked the diverter valve, again by removal and using a 12v supply, works perfectly.

Does anyone know if there is a fuse for the diverter valve like there is for the pump? as far as I can tell the valve is staying shut when I turn the heating on, I might use my 12v supply to switch the valve manually in the light of day, but it would be good to see the circuit diagram for the system, does anyone have one?

Regards

Steve

There is a great write-up here on running the diagnostic tests on the HVAC system - might help in finding your problem

Thanks guys

Miraculously the heater worked this morning when I went to work, so I'm thinking even more that it is a wiring problem. Roll on the weekend when I can get a proper look!

thanks again

Steve
