Unhappy HELP!!! half of the engine is not working!?

in my last post (the one about VVT solenoid) I was wright! it wasn't the VVT. and now i have no idea what it is... the right side of the engine is not working! the spark plugs are oily, and when i disconnect each ignition coil one by one the engine makes no response... what the hell? what could be the problem.... the engine is dying?? is it related with chains? i have no idea what to do.... and it seems that mechanics in Lithuania are good only on fixing the cars like vw golf or some other ****, I allready spent 400$ and still I dont know what the problem is !! the onboard computer shows no engine fail or enything like that, the OBD test shows only abs sensor, airbag ( that i know about ) ant the f**king vvt solenoid witch I have changed..

No, I was right and you changed the V V T solenoid anyway. Best find yourself a Jaguar mechanic, and let him do his job. He'll probably check compression first and cam timing second.

yea... you were right... and silly me, i trusted the mechanic who coldn't find the problem during 2 weeks, i have no idea what was he doing...masturbating i guess... now after two weeks of spending money for nothing like VVT solenoid (i guess those things dont brake to often) i have to look for a good mechanic... damn it!!

I would venture to say that the upper chain broke and the cams arent turning, are you talking the passenger side right hand or left hand drive? If its the side with the oil fill, open it and turn the engine over to see if the cams turn. If not thats your problem. If the other side pull the cam cover and look it takes 10 minutes to pull the cover. What did you spend 400 on? Not finding out anything, any decent mechanic should have found out at least if no fuel(injectors), no spark, (coils) or mechanical chains valve etc... If you broke a chain you probobly bent valves and you can pull that head replace the valves, lap them in and install new upper chains, guides, and tensioners while you have it apart.[/quote]
