Default Help to identify a windscreen pillar trim part

On both sides of my 2002 XJ8 / 308, I'm missing a black plastic end stop for a piece of chrome trim between the windscreen and front door; at the bottom of the pillar. See dropbox link below. The black arrows show the missing part, and the red arrow shows a similar part on another piece of trim.

I just cut my finger on it, so finally decided to sort it out. However, I'm having trouble finding replacement parts because don't know the part number.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

You are not going to find it. It's part of the drip finisher and not sold by itself

I tried to fabricate mine using black GE silicon: sloppy and ugly, but worked for a while; then it dried out completely and flaked off. Running without on the left side, no issues other than it doesn't match the right side.

Thanks for that, but what is a drip finisher? Is it possible to change out?

Jagbits has Part #: HNA5700BE-USED
USED PASSENGER SIDE DRIP MOLDING BRIGHT FINISH FITS 1998-2003 XJ8 SWB FROM VIN 737890 ON. ADDITIONAL SHIPPING WILL BE CHARGED FOR THIS PART. Replaces HNA5700BD

You should call them and probably email the description and photo of the part you need.

Here is the weblink:

Hna5700be

The only images I found about part number hna5700be are illustration and not the actual photo of the part, but someone at jagbits.com should be able to sort this out.

it is the full length chrome piece above the windows that stop the water from "dripping"
For your car, short wheelbase, right side, after 2000MY, chrome, the part should be: HNA5700BE
Its kind of pricey as over $250 here

Thanks for the part numbers Luc.

It is pricey, especially since I need both sides and would have to import them into Thailand...

It's a pity, but it looks like I will have to live with it.
