Help with locked door
My 7 yo son mechanically flipped the locking mechanism up on the driver's side door. Now I can't get it to go back to the open position and I have partially disassembled the door with no luck. Before I start to tear into this, is there anything I am missing that may make this easier to do? 2002 Jaguar XJR.

I do that ALL THE TIME to simulate the doors CLOSED so I can work on the car interior with the doors actually open but electrically closed. (recognized by the BPM)
Just lift on the unlatch handle and put a screwdriver in the latch where the striker goes and pull OUT the latch lever.
It should have some black plastic on the steel lever in the mechanism. (the doors must be UNLOCKED or use the interior handle)
