Help me avoid any mistakes
I'm currently driving a 2005 Lexus LS 430 and I'm thinking about trading for a 2006 XJ8. The Jag is not an "L". It does not have Navi. It is candy apple red in terriffic looking shape with only 27,500 mi. The Jag dealer in Atlanta is asking $32,900.
Don't know much about these cars but I love how they look and drive.
What is the actual price I should be paying and what about reliability?
Are these good cars? By the way, I discovered that the "L"'s driver seat does not goe back as far as the regular XJ8. I need the room since I'm 6'3". Is there a way to increase the distance on an "L"? Also How do you pair your phone with the system on this car?
Thanks for any advice you may have

They are great cars, but I wouldn't pay more than $22K for a 2006. The resale value is not great (not like a Lexus). I have seen a 2005 XJ8L advertised for only $16K. Also check out the cost for repairs. Jaguar dealers are selling so few cars that they like to overservice (and overcharge) their clients. Some Jag dealers up north charges $600 just for a regular service (inspection, oil change, etc). Unbelievable.

I just went to a Jag action and '06's were going anywhere from 17K to 23K depending on condition and mileage. This is a dealers only auction. The dealer is going to recon the car and mark it up. At $32K they're probably making a 5K to 7K profit..
