Default Help with part # and source. 1999 XJ8

Hi Folks! I need some help with a part number and possible source, please. I am looking for the cover (button?) that goes on top of the side mirror adjustment/positioning switch that is located in the driver's side door arm rest. My interior code is LEG, which is "Warm Charcoal" (sexy, huh?). Here in GA, we call it "that dark woody look". I am attaching pics. The white cross shaped control is what is underneath the cover/button that I am looking for. I am beginning to think that I may have to start searching salvage yards, but am hoping there is another way. Thanks!

Jaguar never sold the part to fix the switch pac ... you have to source the whole switch.

I'm sure e-bay is your friend for this

Jaguar XJ8 window switches power seat mirrors control | eBay
This was the cheapest one I could find, the wood doesnt matter since the black plastic is the same on all x308's. you can move the wood over or the button over the other switch.

If none of the clip parts on your button are broken, a new cover will clip on if you have luck at a salvage yard. If the clip is damaged on the button side, a new cover will not hold its place. Be sure not to break the corresponding clip components off of the replacement when removing it either (if this can even be done, I do not know). They clip together in a male-to-female correspondence of sorts. If you already have a broken receptacle, you need to replace the entire switch anyway.
