hi xjr shakes after 50
hi im new on here i have an xjr 2000 model,
the car has 20 inch 10j all around with 275 35 20(i put on) they do not catch rides very smooth until it hits 50 and then i can feel like a wobble until 85 the wobble is on the foot seats and stearing, also on the motorway over bumps it feels like it will jump of if im doing 100, just to remind they do not have any spigot rings on the wheels but i will get them done tomorow, whats the bore diameter of the hub? could this problem be something else? the wheels are well balances all around.

CB is 73.8 mm.
Keep in mind that Hub centric rings assure the wheels are centered during install and then the lug nuts index the wheel and provide the clamp to the hub. However with careful installation and slow methodical tightening of the lugs non-hubcentric wheels can run true.
If the rings don't solve the problem, you might try "Road Force" balancing the wheels/tires.
This of course assumes that the shocks and suspension are in perfect order and are able to deal with the added unsprung weight of the 20's.

Just a note to the world . . . I replaced the 20k mile, almost worn out Continentals high performance tires with some real world Continental H rated tires.
I love my car again!
The Z or whatever rating 20k mile gum rubber tires were not satisfactory from the first day despite multiple force and other balancing efforts. Came to the conclusion that if you do not drive the car every day that the super high performance tires will 'set' a flat spot that will take more than I drive to burn out. Next time out I have two flat spots.
The moral of my story is to buy tires based on how you drive not the capability of the car.
