Default Hit 200,000 miles today

Hit 200,000 miles today in my XJ8. WooHoo!
Only the last 60,000 are mine but I am still proud. Considering it did 80 miles round trip to and from work for 2 years it earned it! Only real event during that period was a blown alternator as i started it to go home one day, but it still got me there. "well done Red!"
Then we moved allot closer to work. Now a days on a daily basis it only does 5 miles round trip to and from work.
There I was this morning just driving the 5 minutes to work as usual, snow coming down, just a little, and I looked down and it turns to 200,000 just as I turn into the parking lot at work.

here is the picture I snapped.
Thank you Jaguar for making a great Machine!

Now that you have it properly broke in, you can really start driving it!

Congrats! I just showed your pic to my car... don't want to hear about any kind of mid-life crisis at 100k...

In the 11 years my wife has driven her 99 XJ8 only 44,000 and it had 64,000 on it when I bought it for her in 2004. At that rate we will have to leave it to our grandson to achieve to 200,000 mark.

At the rate I'm burning up the miles, it will be almost 28 years before I make the 200K milestone. By then, I'll be nearly 98 years old. Something to look forward to.

Congratulations.
At 200K, is it still on the original transmission? Timing chain tensioners/guides?

Congratulations. I am at 201,000 now. Pretty sure you have all the bugs worked out by now and can expect flawless operation for many miles to come.
