Default Hopefully my last Timing Chain question

Just want to get clarification from those that would know. I've seen the info relevant to the Lincoln LS and Jag 4.0 V8. My understanding is that the motors are one and the same with the exception of Jag and Ford product stamps. I've seen a number of posts relevant to the use of "Lincoln" tensioners for replacement of same. However I've not come across any posts that have indicated use of a full set of "Lincoln" parts for a full timing chain replacement. I'm planning on doing the job myself, but I did have a local mechanic "in the know supposedly" and he indicated that the Lincoln parts could be used, however he didn't ever confirm it. I've been to a forum recommended source for a great price on the tensioners, and they have a full listing of timing chains and related parts at good prices as well. Am I correct in assuming the 3.9L listing on the LS vs the 4.0L on the Jag is negligible as far as the parts are concerned? Are all of the LS timing chains and related components interchangeable, or is there some minor configuration difference that limits it to just the Tensioners. I'm hoping to try to order the parts I need and start fabricating tools within the next week so any input will be greatly appreciated.

To answer one of your questions, the Lincoln 3.9 and the Jaguar 4.0 have the same bore and stroke. For promotional purposes, FoMoCo chose to round the displacement number down, and Jaguar rounded it up. Can't imagine why Ford did that, since bigger always sounds better. Anyway, I **believe** the engine internals are the same, and when I do my tensioner upgrade [after the 3 feet of snow goes away] I plan to use Ford parts. In one of the threads was Ford equivalent part numbers.
