Default Hose to Throttle body?

Hello,

New member, first post. Just acquired a 2000 xj8 4.0 NA Base, 92k. This car is in the Vin (V)F1... series and has the air-assisted throttle body. Got it VERY cheap as it was loosing coolant and overheating. It has had the tensioners done and had a replacement gearbox from a Jaguar dealer some 20k ago.

Thanks to this very generous site Ive loaded JTIS and JEPC, and replaced the water pump and thermostat housing and most of the front hoses.I've also replaced the expansion tank lines which where incorrecty attached, no cross over, and connecters cracked.

My problem is I have what looks to be a rubber water hose connected to the rear of the TB that has been capped off with a piece of 1'2" hose, a bolt and some zip ties!

I cannot find the part to correct this or even where it's supposed to connect the TB to. It appears the octopus hose has been replaced fairly recently but I do not see an open or capped spot that this hose should connect to. Where should this hose go?

It is connected to the the left rear side of the TB, immediately to the right, ( looking to front of car,) and slightly above the molded air hose part 9 on the EPC diagrams (part AJ81211) connection. It's not part 14 ( NNE3246BA) that connects to the lower right rear ot the TB. Attached to TB outlet ringed in image below.

Thank you for any help.. .

You need the hose NNE3976CA. It goes from the (blocked off) port on your TB to a small offtake on a large plastic "T" on the heater return hose. This T is to the left (looking to front of car) and somewhat below the TB. The T is a separate part, NNE3944BA, and it connects the heater return hose to the "octopus" hose.

Thank you for your incredibly quick and detailed answer. I've located and ordered the parts and am about to go try and find where on the octopus hose it connects to.

Thanks again. Appreciated.
