How to achieve over 300Nm on those hub nuts
I sat here scratching my head, wondering how to prove I've got over 300Nm on my rear wheel nuts.
Then I figured on some mathematical proof:
Take an "average" weight off 80kg or thereabouts (176lbs) balanced as well as you can on the end of an extension wrench...
x 9.81 = 785 N
x 0.4m (the longest ratchet wrench I have) = 313Nm
Bingo! Beats buying a £200 torque wrench
