How to confirm part number using VIN ?

All harnesses have a paper or plastic tag with the original part number somewhere along the length. (number at the time of manufacture)
Sometimes part number get superseded to a different number. (lots of parts have changed in the 23 or 24 years since your car was made.
The harness might be NLA from the dealer. In that case a good-used part might be your only option?
The JEPC is sectioned in VIN ranges, not specific VINs.
The FACIA Harness part number you need is..........LHD____Power Tilt Column............
From VIN F00035 to VIN F20644......... LNF3010AC

All, many thanks for the excellent info! I think now that the harness I have is doing the job. What I didn't realize is that there appears to be a seperate dongle (indicated by what seems to be an "R" in the illustration below the trunk of the harness on the left hand side. I suspect this is the OBD connector harness and is seperate from the main harness. When the new harness was replaced it is possible this wire assembly was damanged and hence this issues I have with reading monitors and getting smog'd here in CA USA. If so that the facia wiring harness is likely functioning normal. Does anyone have a part number for this dongle or know how to access it (with or without pulling the dashboard assembly forward). Again, thanks for all the help.
