How do I know if my fuel pump is bad?

In view of such long period of sitting, I think you should remove the fuel lines in the "Vee" of the engine as well as the fuel rails and injectors. Send the injectors to a specialist for ultrasonic cleaning and flow testing and clean/blow the fuel rails and the pipes.

I did clean and blow out all the fuel lines, new filter, and have the fuel rails out and cleaned them with diesel
The injectors I had sent away to cleaning and "balancing"!

Lightbulb Fuel treatment for storage

I have used either SeaFoam or Stabil in cars that I drive infrequently.
SeaFoam is my primary choice since it will clean the fuel system AND stabilize ethanol fuels to reduce breakdown.

Something to consider if you are going to drive this car infrequently.
