a rule of thumb on pan drops and filter change is 4, 5 if you go drink a beer and let it drain longer of if youre poky

I was told that if you hook up andgo thru the oil cooler lines and remove "ALL" the oil out of the tranmission, that it can take as much as 14 quarts!![sm=sick.gif][sm=sick.gif]of really expensive trans fluid,
can any one verify this? TIA Alex

Thanks for the info, but I'm woundering WHY would anyone would bother todo a trans service
and install only 4 to 5 quartsof trans fluid when the capacity is 12 quarts? so you would
have aprox 8 quarts of old dirty trans fluid? UGHH!

cause if you replace33% of the fluid every couple years youre do 3xs more than most ever do.....but its up to you. evry other oil change I drain 4 qts out and refill, every other year i drop the pan and put a new filter in, and in a 120k miles the inside still looks brand new. Besides to do a flush, you really need a machine to do correctly, and either way its messy and stinks like cat ****

Nice pix, Brutal! Clever chap you are - headlight conversion is really inventive! Thought about marketing a kit for it?

YES ACTUALLY, BUT WOULD REALLY ONLY WANT TO DO ONLY IF I INSTALL SINCE THE RADIATOR CORE SUPPORT, AND HEADLIGHT MOUNTS HAVE TO BE MODIFIED EXTENSIVELY TO FIT PROPERLY. BUT WAS THINKING ABOUT $600 DIP BEAMS ONLY, $1000 ALL 4 INSTALLED INCLUDING CLEAR BRA PROTECTION FROM ROCKS AND OLD XJ8 LIGHTS AS CORES
