Default How much power can my jag handle

Hi there I'm looking into doing a big build on my jag I have 2001 xj8 vanden plas i want to do a ls3 swap and turbo it but I've been hearing that the chassis can't handle more than 500hp same with the rear end. I'm not looking to race it but I wanna make it into a scary weekend warrior/sleeper any advice would be great

I'd change out the diff anyway. Aren't all x308 and x350/358s open diffs? You're going to want limited slip with that much power.

Yes I planned on changing out the diff but my concern is the chassis gonna handle over 500hp? My target power is 750-800hp I know that's high but never say never lol and who doesn't wanna eat lambo's for breakfast lol

If you change engine, tranny, electronics, diff, suspension parts, brakes - you are fine with that lump - ex. Jag.

Where did you hear about the 500 bhp?

Whats the intention with the hp? That determines what you need to work at, so far at least the xkr is able to work with 700 hp.
