no he's talking about its not unlocking with the doors. Pull back the trunk trim on the side by the fuel door and youll see the release/lock solenoid, pull the lever back holding the pin to lock the door. Then either unplug the connector so it wont stick again, or buy a new solenoid lock if you want to keep in locked with the car

Hi! I've had couple of times lid was locked when I needed to gas up.
I cranked car. Locked doors. Turned off car, exited. Lid still locked. I got in cranked it turned it off, exited, then locked, then unlocked it, then cranked it. Got out and lid was unlocked.
I have no clue what worked but have learned these cars have to be tricked at times.

I am goin through this exact same process with my 2012 xfr. The stupid gas filler door lock randomly won't allow entry...just don't wait until the last second to get gas....my jaguar dealer has not heard of this before.... I am goin to ask him to check the solenoid as Brutal mentioned, thanks pal.

This happened to me too - my gas fuel door didn't open when I unlocked my doors. I locked and unlocked the doors a few times and it began working again.
I've read on this forum that you can access the fuel door solenoid through the trunk and apply lubricant to the solenoid and it should (at least for awhile) solve the sticky solenoid.
