How stupid of an idea is this?

I know this in not an X308, but it is a British car.

Flooded 2008 Aston Martin Vantage. Guessing from Hurricane Sally which was a year ago. I went and looked at it. Water line mark (if you can trust it) halfway up door. Electronics came on, but no crank with a jump box. No water in oil. Sold as a pure sale a few weeks ago for $10,000. Sale must have fallen through because relisted. Secondary damage of biohazard/chemical is because now moldy. If engine/tranny bad, it's a swap project because replacing those are insanely expensive. Part of analysis is price of parts on Ebay if end up parting it out (wheels, $2,000, windshield $1,400, valve covers $500, insturment pack, $3,500, side mirrors $600).

Forget trying to resurrect that one. Every module in that car would have to be replaced as a bare minimum. In my opinion, the best case scenario would be to (I hate to say it) LS swap it and rewire the entire car. Even if you have the mega bucks to purchase every module, getting the modules to shake hands could be another story. This is of course not knowing the condition of the wiring harness and the fiber optics. I would imagine there’s not many of these in the junkyard even at a specialty ones.
Just my two cents.
