Default How to verify an Nikasil engine was replaced by Jaguar

I want to know if my 1998 XJR engine was every replace by Jaguar. How do I confirm that is was or not.

On Carfax it shows the throttle body was, but no mention of the engine.

either contact Jaguar, or look on the rhs of the engine where the cylinder head meets the block, if it's a replacement, it'll have a green tab there.

A well taken care of nikasil block is stronger, lighter, has less friction, and produces more power over any lined motor theres a reason they are used still today in cars such as twin turbo porshe, ferrari, lambo, among most of the motorsports. the main problem was with high sulfur content but thts a thing of the past. theres a reason you hve to use diamond coated tools to bore out a nikasil block only thing hard enough to do it

I feel much better now, all I read is how bad it was and it will eventually give out. With it low mileage, I would like to keep it for awhile. My last car had 286K and was still going until it was totalled. I would like to have the same result with this car too.

Thanks.

if it makes u feel better have jag do their test on it to see how its running mine was a very low mileage car it sat through the bad years of high sulfur i had it tested when i got it and it was running better numbers than I have seen on alot of new engines. I dont burn any oil, great power, starts right up, nothing out of the breathers and its leak down numbers were amazing.
