Default I couldnt stay away

parted company with my two X300 XJR's a couple of years ago ..... but the draw to get another was always there......scratched the itch and bought a dark metallic blue 143k miler today and my first X308....

bit on spec as you do with Ebay purchases but after speaking with cars owner I think I may have picked up a great deal barring a headlining issue some mild front seat resto and tyres.....

My most nervously anticipated 'Q'? was 'is there any front or rear arch corrosion'....that second waiting while the seller took his breath to speak felt like a life time expecting the not unexpected answer......and the answer was? .....No!

Ok I haven't seen more than the pics yet but if there is nothing that when dug out I can get my finger in I will be a very very happy camper.....talking to him he was obviously a bit in love with it and spoke in detail about the cars .....so Im back.....post some pics in a few weeks time.....yea yea I know....'this thread is nothing without pics'

Congratulations with the X308.

Seems you know what you doing, and those seats will look like new after 1/2 day work with the right products.

Surely she will throw some other issues at you, but most X308 issues and problems are always the same, and well documented on this forum.

Default Thank you gentlemen

Im hoping that with 143k on the clock it will have had a good share of inevitable XJ car niggles and given that It will spend most of its time in a garage and be lucky if it gets driven 1500 miles a year, Im hoping It wont throw up too many more...

Mind you, one gets as many other sorts of niggles as a result of not driving them....ah well, there's no such thing as a complte win win with a Older Jaguar....

But that is part of the fun, being out in the garage on cold dark winter evenings fine tuning all the little things that need attending to.

What better way to bond with your Jag?
