Default I scared the neighbour...apparently!

cleaning cars' yesterday morning and my next door neighbour's off up to the post box, he's an old guy so I say's I'll give him a lift.....in the XJR......on the way back I released the horses.

Today my other half say's "you scared the old guy", uh what? "yeh, he said his heart fluttered"......now I think twice about the old or infirm and offering a lift

people around 20 years old have been shocked and mildly frightened by the power of my XJR, I can only imagine with an older person. It's good to get your heart rate up though.

I think anyone not used to an XJR is often a bit surprised, I know I am after 3 weeks of not driving it

You sure it wasn't from looking at the other half?

Anyways, still give the guy a lift ... just ease off on the horses.

I know the feeling. I'm often surprised after pressing the S-button... it stands for Surprise, right?

I also had a similar experience recently. I picked my girlfriend up from work, who came running out and jumped in the Jag. She demanded that I drove her home as quick as because something she wanted on ebay was ending in 10 minutes. I had never driven flat out with her in the car before, but when the XJ8 made a 10 minute drive a 3 minute one, she asked "Has this always been a fast car!?" LOL

In hindsight was it worth risking losing my licence for a sideboard?

Wrong question. What you should be thinking: If she looses that headboard because of me, will I ever live it down!

Next time he'll probably hide in the bushes when he sees you coming ! (which could be a good thing)
