Default I want to cry...

This is what happened this morning... Thanks god everyone is safe, no injures at all.

Amazingly I did not feel in danger at any time, the car handled everything with grace , and it is so solid...

I love my car so much... I can't believe it... It looked so sad in the tow place...

No No No, the lady that hit me skid on wet road and lost control. It was very slippery. She was very nice and honest and ran to check if I was ok. It's sad what happened, but she deserves respect.

Oh ok. Well at least it was a true accident then, and not just someone being stupid.

Ouch! That's cool that you had a dashcam rolling. No question about who is at fault. If her insurance tries to lowball you, its because they assume anyone driving a thirteen year old car is typically living paycheck to paycheck and needs the settlement ASAP to get another car and ANY car will do. They are not counting on you being a Jaguar enthusiast and insisting on getting another Jaguar just like the one you had. The key is to wait them out. Remember that the longer you remain a liability on their books, the more you cost them each day. Good luck.

I just brought her to the tip-top condition, the latest thing was replacing door handle plastic base. And the antenna that I had to take apart, which I was admiring going down as I leave... I still had few small things on the list, but it was a joy to ride. And I had so many complements - priceless...

Not sure how with insurance will go. I doubt fixing will be considered. I suppose they will give me rental for time being... and we talk. Same car is not easy to find.

Now I need to bring her sister to working condition asap... and there I have a long list of things to do...

Thanks to everyone for responses...

Most importantly, no one was hurt.

Everything else is a distant second concern.

Is that a date/time/stamp on the bottom? If it is I'd get it set right for the next time it's used. Sorry for your loss.

I guess I should... the camera is cheap $30 or so unit... I think battery dies and it resets if I go away for few weeks. But I am quite happy with footage quality.

Prius is the new Geo Metro, for people who don't have even the slightest passion or interest in driving - and sometimes accompanied by giving up on life...

Lot Prius haters here. I don't have one but not sure why the hate. Maybe they like 50 plus miles to a gal. Maybe they like the Toyota reliability. I'm betting they don't smirk whenever they drive by one of us on the side of the road. Sometimes people have several cars. One for transportation, one for weekend cruising and one to impress. Just odd statements coming from some of you. I belong the the Cougar forum and no one on there remotely says anything bad about some one else's choice of car or the people that drive those cars. Might be a good thing if people on here did the same. They might even own a Jaguar or something maybe better???? Who knows.

Maybe some of them like being able to power their homes
in time of need:

PriUPS-getting electricity FROM your hybrid vehicle

Adds mobile home generator capacity to the Prius.

Beats sitting in the dark with no A/C while everything
in the freezer is melting.

And yes, beating on other makes gets old ... quickly.
