Ignition getting sticky
Good day everyone!
Recently my ignition sometimes sticks and I have to remove the key and re insert it and so on until it turns.
I'm guessing it needs a lubricant; what would you use? I'm thinking WD40 only because it does not conduct electricity, and does not gum up if the key if it's wet, ect. However since it's a solvent as well I'm worried about applying some.
I had the same problem on my door lock and after using WD40 it works flawlessly.
Thanks!

graphite is best (you have heard this before) once the lock is working smoothly -- first, clean the lock (hint: WD 40 or an equivalent -- I like CRC's or MPS, less residue than WD 40, a concern that KC notes, above). Just my opinion.
OBTW - have you lubricated the trunk (boot) lock, yet? You might like to also lube the door hinges while you have the can out.
