Have a 2001 XKR manifesting a lean 1 and 2 bank. Want to replace IMT o-rings to cure it. Not exactly sure if they are under the air intake or not.
If they are it would be quicker than on a XK8. Please enlighten me. Thanks

First off, your car shouldn't have IMTs, from what I know. Yours should be the (relatively) same supercharged 4.0 as in the XJRs.

Cracks in the intake runner between the air filter and throttle body are a possibility, and cracks in either of the two engine breathers are very common.

Pop all those parts off, check carefully for cracks, then spray the MAF down using MAF spray from any auto parts place. Put it back together and see what happens.

Are you using a K&N filter?

Thanks. Seems rather difficult to get info on Jaguars. Maybe its by
Jaguar design. I have looked into shop manuals but the process and technical data seem not straight forward. Thanks again. I will try your suggestions.

This is the right place for Jaguar info, although I'd suggest you post in the "XK8/XKR" section. That's probably why you haven't much response here, although the engines are the same.

Good luck!
