Installing a set of aftermarket gauges in an X308
I would REALLY like to have a full set of gauges in my XJR.
Ideally, I would like to have the following gauges:
-Fuel Pressure
-Oil Pressure
-Water Temperature (yes, I have seen the RealGauge product)
-Boost Pressure
That said, we all know that there are not a lot of great places in an X308 to mount some aftermarket gauges.
I am having trouble finding a place to mount the above gauges.
I have seen an X308 with two A-Pillar gauges, and it looked alright.
I have also thought about using something like a KUDA mount and mounting gauges in it.
Maybe even fabricate something that would look like the KUDA mount, but make it a little bigger, and mount it like the KUDA, and have my upholstery shop cover it in Oatmeal leather.
The dash doesn't seem like a good place to mount anything the way it is shaped.
Finally, I don't want to molest the dash in any way. I don't want to change or remove anything that Jaguar installed in the dash. I love the way the dash looks.
Any suggestions, ideas, photos, epiphanies, etc?

Great Idea!
I think your idea about crafting something like the KUDA mount is spot on to my eye. I would think you could craft it out of aluminum, face it with something matching the wood accents, have it covered with padded leather to match and select gauges and senders from someplace like e-gauges to get a look compatible would be nice addition. Good thinking!
