I have it on mine, and having all does seem to feel a little more responsive on take off. As far as actual numbers, I haven't dyno'd mine directly, but there is a thread somewhere on here where someone had custom-made his own versions, and did get numbers as he went up in diameter. I haven't found the thread but it's around here somewhere. It's definitely an improvement over stock, but I can't claim the numbers are exact. I ran both versions - with an exposed filter just like the one in the kit, and also with the factory airbox. The open filter gives more intake noise, maybe a couple more HP but again, dunno about the actual numbers. Definitely more noise. I only went back to the factory airbox to sort out possible MAF issues and the like, and never changed it back yet.

I have both on my car too but can’t claim those figures as I have the Stage II kit on mine also. I will say that the elbow Mina provides is crap, I swapped mine out for a cobra head elbow and it works much better and looks better too then the electric blue one provided. All in all I’m happy with both the exhaust and intake. If anything the exhaust makes the car look more aggressive from the rear.

Would be something akin to this:

https://www.do88.se/en/artiklar/cobra-head-4.html

Which does look a lot better, and doesn't flex at all when the tube is on. The blue one that comes with it (Really? bright blue? why...) fits pretty snug up under the hood and if you have any flexing in the system, it does seem like it kind of pinches a little underneath.

for the filter, better to install a more permeable one in its standard housing without changing the pipe and working on the electronic part for performance and reliability results? I do not want to increase the sound in xj8, if I find 2 two catalysts with less 200 cells as in the right sport? that tempts me to the exhaust I mounted 2 stainless steel oval terminals and I like it

You can certainly get a drop-in high-flow filter to put in the system. It won't be quite the same, but something. The problem is the factory air-tube has the silencers and corrugated sections which disrupt airflow. However, it's probably a little less effective on a regular N/A model than it is on the S/C'd one. There's not as much increase with the Mina tube and stock airbox, and that's with the supercharger sucking it in. Probably a lot less noticeable with the non-SC ones.

Honestly I don’t remember where I got it. I just googled cobra head intake and ordered the size to fit the TB and Mina pipe.
