intercooler work in the fields LOL
So since I had a few days before we start work on the rigs an Im staying at my buddies while im down here i had gotten gaskets from jag and took it all apart to take a look at the injector plates and intercooler mannys. I ordered a set of used stock ones to flow when I get back to see if theres any uneven flow. But what I did find was the stock plates have a serious blockage in both of the intercooler runners where it seems less flow is going through. So while having them off I ported them and gasket matched them perfectly and lowered the HUGE injector boss which sticks way out. I took off 2mm off the top of ea injector boss and theres still more tht i could take off but I wanted to keep a tight seal and strength. I also ported and smoothed the outlet top and perfected the inlet elbow some more. I removed the tight large extra material tht was in the end of ea injector plate tht connects to the lighter runners and will not be shocked if this helps out with those runners.

Wow just wow pressure cleaned the intercoolers today after doing the minor gasket matching and smoothing the runners this morning and I cannot begin to express the amount of old oil crap in there and as we all know oil coated intercooler fins do 2 things. 1st they make it very poor for the heat to get out of the engine air as it passes due to the oil coat. An 2nd it impedes airflow due to the amount in there this is something i think any XJR owner should do every 30k to keep them clean and smooth I will not be surprised if things improve significantly. WOW
