Fuel filter ( admit it, you need it anyway ) then save some cash for that fuel pump replacement...not trying to sound fecitious but I am going through it now- aanyway- GL let the cat be with you !

You really need to diagnose the fault and not throw parts at it. That can get expensive FAST. What (if any) DTCs are logged in the ECM????
Do you still have fuel pressure when the engine dies??? Is there water in the fuel???
Sometimes you can borrow/rent or get a diagnostic tool that has a 'data-read' capability. You can 'watch' things like MAFS, ignition timing, coolant temp etc.
You need AIR, FUEL and SPARK so one of them must be missing.
