Default J gate park and neutral switches

The park switch on MY 98 XJ8 broke this weekend. Wife wasn't able to remove keys from ignition. I took the J gate out and pushed the switch manually to remove keys.
The plastic ears that hold the lever on broke off. I'm going to have to replace the switch.
So how is it mounted so I can remove it. It looks like it is rivited on. I'm sure someone else had to do this so you help is appreciated.

Those 2 donor cars look like a great place to start, unless they are now small blocks of metal now? I tried finding an exploded view to no avail.

Thanks Highhorse,
I looked too and couldn't find any detail on it. I was trying to find a way of only removing the switches and not having to remove the entire bracket. If I don't get any responses I'll experiment on one of the donors.
