don't be upset it has been a good conversation
you know when I joined this site I thought it would be all upper-class Brittish Aristocrats snobby nose stuff, me well I'm from convict stock in OZ ha ha
but my friend we are just a bunch of guys that love to tinker really and bounce ideas off each other.
sure I have asked some dumb questions about converting my car too but these guys on the forum bring you back down to earth
never be afraid to ask or post otherwise how will you & us learn

Thanks Dutchy.....I expected some pushback (got the samething from el camino owners)... the car I'm converting does not have a good engine trans in it... later years I'm sure they corrected the problem. If someone wants to rebuild the engine I will glady sell it to them (I think it needs cylinder sleeves). It also has a 6 speed automatic behind it with 20k miles on a $7000 rebuild. I don't know how to advertise anything on here so I hope the forum cops will cut me some slack

Seems like every early 80's XJ6 that catches my eye is a 350 conversion which keeps me @ bay.

 

You posted it in the X308 forum instead of the X100 forum, but other than that, thee is nothing wrong with your car. Its your car.
