Default Jaguar lumbar zone deflate problem

Hey guys, i'm new to the forum, have a xj8, bought it a few days ago, was just "playing around " with the seat controls, and suddenly i sensed the lumbar zone inflating at the driver's seat. Just kept it pushed for about two seconds. Not knowing what it is since i don't have a car manual, I went to the passenger seat and did the same. I sensed it inflating, and when i pushed the button backward hoping i would deflate nothing happened. I'm kinds frustrated this happened because i think i held it for too long and now it won't deflate, and it feels very uncomfortable. Is there anything i can do about it ?Isn't there a pressure release pump or something? I'm not really good with mecanics and there's not Jaguar authorised dealer or car service where i live. Can you pleas help me , i would really appreciate it . Thanks.

Handbook says, "Switch C controls the lumbar support as follows: With ignition switch in position I or II, press the front of the switch to increase support or the rear of the switch to reduce support" so have you tried letting it down with the ignition on? hope this helps!

Default Other suggestions ?

Hey. I tried deflating it with the ignition on but it still won't deflate. I tried another thing, while holding the deflate button down i tried pushing it against the seat, hoping that maybe i can "manually" deflate it, but still nothing. Isn't there something else i can do ? I feel really down because of this. The driver seat works and the passenger only inflates. Any other suggestions guys ? Thanks

The back of the seat is only held on with clips and two screws I think. If you undo these two screws underneath and pull on the seat back then it should pop off and you will be able to see the air bag. You could unplug it to let the air out. Be careful though and check you have got all the screws as it has been a while since I had my seat apart.

Hope this helps. S.

Thanks S. Isn't there any way of letting the air out without unscrewing the seat ? Isnt there some sort of plug which i can pull out ?
