I may not ave posted codes on my original thread. They are: P0172 Too Rich Bank 1, P0300 Random/Multiple Misfires Detected, P1316 Undefined, P1111 Undefined. I think we can toss out the last two. I've been around the block a few times, and on this forum long enough to know the symptoms of the secondary tensioners. Although, I did think I was clear of this problem as my engine was replaced under warranty with a newer one that should have had the newer tensioners (unless the dealer did a short block swap, in which case I'm probably looking at tensioners as I have 140k or so on chassis). I do appreciate the input though. My biggest problem is no garage space to work on car in. Am leaning towards a bore scope to have a look inside, then price out all options including dealer. After reading multiple posts the other night, my new concern is the VVT involvement in fixing this. Seems no two of the members on here can agree on importance of 'unwinding' VVT when you swap out these tensioners........Thanks again.
