Exclusive black paint -- red piping on the interior as well as some additional interior/ exterior trim differences. Brembo brakes with BBS wheels. It may have had the DVD ....???

The car was unique - not special.

You could get the regular XJR with the brakes -- and that upgrade included BBS wheels -- they may have been different ......... can't remember.

I looked at one -- certainly not worth the money new since they did not want to discount the car and I got $7500 off sticker for my standard XJR at the time.

I did not want the brakes -- The standard brakes supplied with the XJR are very good - did not want the added maintenance expense. That goes for the wheels also.

I would not take a 100 over a regular XJR unless they were in equal condition throughout and I was sure of the brakes and wheel condition -- then I may pay a little more .

Thumbs up Love mine

They are the product of Jaguar SVO department, (special vehicle operations) so they are in fact special....I would say this because I have the 6th produced in RHD.
Anthracite metallic paint
no side body mouldings
warm charcoal interior with cherry red stitching
Sat nav
premium sound system - Alpine
BBS 19" Montreal wheels unique to the car
heated seats all round
telephone system
Brembo brake system
Boot and interior badges
Momo gearshift knob

pretty much all options ticked. Aprox 250 in the US.

There shouldn't be much of a premium unless it's mint, although the prices are climbing because of rarity I know of two that are for sale in the £50k bracket, obviously very clean cars. Look at the bottom of the page,

I looked for one after deciding I wanted an XJR to play with. It took me over 18 months to find one I liked. It'd been to Paramount for the full monty in tuning, pulley - remap of engine - stainless exhaust etc. Park the 100 next to a standard one, it's lower by 15mm. Cats suspension is standard.

It's got to be a future classic, the last black ltd ed. they did was the series 3 E-Type, and they fetch half again on standard V12 E's. It's the only saloon Jag made of ltd run. The last of the Jaguars you can trace to Sir William Lyons design, with all the original XJ design cues in body shape - that's why it celebrated his 100th anniversary.
Investment potential if mint is good because of all this over a vanilla XJR.
They have none of the issues the earlier XJR's had with timing chain tensioners and nikasil coated liners.
Good luck hunting one down!

Not sure you can compare any XJ with the E type -- or any sedan for that matter.

The last run of E's all had a special hardtop in the USA - and a lot of them were bought to save - so they are in good shape - all black

The 100 was a sales tool -- not unusual in the car business.

Ok just my opinion yeldogt, check the link I posted. The fact is they're rare and will reflect that at some point to collectors.

Sean -- Don't disagree that given all things equal the 100 will always be more valuable that a standard XJR "R". The question is how much.

The OP wanted to know the differences and the worth.

They made 500 of them and the one I saw a few years ago was only a couple thousands more than a comparative car.

I will say that used cars on your side go for a lot more money -- always very surprising the price difference.
