Junk Yard Run - Anyone Need Anything?

There's a big Jag junkyard not too far from me in Sun Valley I'm thinking of checking out in the next 2-3 weeks. If you need something let me know and I'll check it out for you. I dont mind shipping some things (at your costs of course ) but things like seats, wheels, etc are probably going to be out of the question. Anyway, get your lists together and let me know what you need. I'm hoping we can get a decent cash buyer volume discount!

P.S. if you can get your hands on the 2000 XJR seats.... they look brand spanking NEW! Someone removed the bottom control unit and left it as is. I'm not sure what else was damaged, but the covers in general are just mint.

So I confirmed with the wife that we will do this next Saturday. If you want something again I'm happy to find it for you and ship small items. I think the game plan will be taking cash with me and your lists and phone numbers to make sure you guys are ok with their prices. I'd prefer paypal after all is said and done and will ship Sunday to you. If that is cool and the gang then please pm me your orders and phone numbers.

A 1954-1957 Jaguar XK140 OTS that needs a little work, like, say, it's time for an oil change, or maybe it's even missing a part, like, oh, I don't know, let's say a drive belt, or maybe even the rear view mirror...I suppose I could find one of those. Maybe the tires could only have 20,000 miles left on them.
I would prefer black with red leather or dark red with tan leather.
It doesn't have to be a 100 point car...I realize this is a junk yard. So 97 points would be okay.
My budget is U.S. $2,000.00, and of course, I'll gladly pay to have it shipped from CA to TN.
I'll be anxiously awaiting news that you've found one!
:-)
Cheers,
Don

Say "hi" to Rick from me when you get there Saturday. He owns the place. Also knows about this forum, and all the customers I've sent him from it. Don't talk to anyone else except him (as the owner, he KNOWS how much he's into this stuff, and only he has the last say in how much profit he is willing to make. His employees have certain negotiation leeway, but they can not go "on the deck"!).
IF you are looking for big items (seats, body panels, etc) pick them FIRST, and note down the price he gives you. Once you have all the big stuff you want, lined up, ask him for a "package deal" on that (he LOVES packaging prices!). When he gives you the final price on that, shake hands, and give him the cash. And THEN (and only then!) say,...."oh I almost forgot,...I need some small trim pieces and such, I'll be right back". Head back out in the yard, pick up small stuff, and bring it to him, asking..."how much you want for this stuff"? He will either give you the small stuff for free, or charge VERY little (depending how much cash your big "packaged deal" was). Don't try to price all small items individually, you'll pay too much.
I realize it will be hard to figure out what the each item is valued at (in order to supply the list from the forum), but the price in bulk will be PENNIES on the dollar compared to all the items purchased individually.
Rick is easy to talk to, very knowledgeable about Jags (young guy), and loves to deal.
I apologize for lecturing you how to conduct business, and that was not my intention. I've visited "Elite Auto" several times, and dealt with Rick to a mutual satisfaction.
"The best deal is the deal from which both parties walk away happy". And that was the case in my dealings with Rick.
