Is the bosch 72209 a better oil filter than oem for highest oil pressusre? I have ran a bosch before but couldn't get it anymore. Ran puro gold but got lifter tap on cold starts. changed to jag filter and tap gone. Jag a little pricy. Anybody got any info?

The Jag OE oil filter was Crosland. They are no longer made but the name Crosland has been sold to a UK aftermarket parts company who probably get the filters made in China, so if you see a Crosland filter now it will probably not be manufactured to the original specifications.

The startup noise that you report with the Purolator oil filter is a sign that either there is no anti-drainback valve or that it malfunctioned.

I am not at all happy with the Bosch number for the AJ27 as it is shorter than the original size.
