Kenne Bell Supercharger Upgrade?
#21
I went to my local Jag dealership to find out info on the rear end and they would not give me the time of day because I wasnt a customer. I am just looking for an off the shelf bolt in. Where did you get yours? Thats really the question I am looking for an answer to.
Thanks

I looked into paramount back when I had my XJR, besides wanting way to much money for the LSD they had nothing on gears. Told me the LSD would make all the difference, which yes it will make some difference compared to an open differential/one wheel wonder. I still need gears though. I really need to know the type of rear end, or someone who does that can point me in the right direction or better fill me in directly.

I find your comments about the E55 amusing as I have not yet installed a twin screw supercharger but have done every other mod possible & 2 years ago with a 3.27 non pozi diff fitted to my car I have seen as low as 4.06 seconds 0-60 on a cold day. I now have a 3.58 pozi & within 2 weeks will have a 3.77 pozi fitted. I would love to see any E55 stock or modofied try to keep up with me.
I am looking around to see how best to increase the diff ratio on an XKR. I would like to lower the gearing by 15 to 20%. Note that I have a Tremec T56 fitted and no longer the auto box. By the way, I have a Quaife LSD.
Cheers.

Since you have a manual and don't have to worry about the speed signal any more, you should just be able to get the whole pumpkin out of an X300 XJR. not sure on the XKs, but on the X308s the X300 diff will bolt right in and came with several nice gearing options like 3.54 posi and 3.73 posi.

2000 xjr
The drivetrain is pretty strong, have had several twin-screw setups on my car now for over 80.0000 miles, and so far mine is holding up very well (most of the time about 430rwhp).
The kit I have developed is based on the 2.6H Kenne Bell, and would also fit the 4.0 XJR.
Am currently investigating if I split it in a Stage 1 and 2 versions, but that will depend on some more test I am currently conducting. I do hope to have it sorted in the coming weeks.

Hello!! Glad to see this discussion resurrected as I'm looking to upgrade my SC to a twin-screw. Willafizz - did you do one of Avos's kits or something else? He's pretty much quit making the kits although in another thread he somewhat mentions that he might do another run. My plan is to have the heads done, put on the TS SC, and upgrade the exhaust. I already have 200-cell cats, so I just have to do a cat-back upgrade. Also, I have a set of Racewear head studs waiting to be installed with the cleaned up heads. I'm still gathering parts and hopefully, one of those parts will be a TS!
