Key, Transponder, Body Processor Module
From review of the electrical manual and searches I understand the system that starts the car is comprised of the chipped key, ignition lock, key trasponder and body processor module. I assume the code stored in the key is also stored in the BPM. The SCLM is not part of the system. I have all these from my parts car.
Why asking I'm wondering if bought a no key Jag if cheaper to replace with my parts than getting new keys, A couple years ago was thinking of buying a no key XJ8 for almost nothing, Called a Jag dealer and was told $$ if had one key but $2000 if no key. If would seem to me if code stored in BPM a Jag dealer would be able to find this information in its system without any key and program a new key.

KTM runs 2 ways. one is ok to crank to the BPM, one is ok to inject to ECM. ECM and KTM are synced BPM is not.
keys are easy to make. 8 cut tibbe decoder, get someone to cut a blank and you program. <01 is ID13, 01+ is ID48
$30 mongoose IDS setup or a launch/topdon can put keys in no problem. no timed access, no locked transponders, no pin, zero hoops to jump through. if you put me on the clock i can probably steal one in less than 5 minutes

So if had a car with no key and new keys purchased and cut, the mongoose is plugged into the car and the car is programmed to recognize the chip keys? Assume you have to have car with you and can't just send modules.

If you could get the owner of the no key car to get you the key code from the dealership (proof of ownership + DL + owner at the parts counter), with hopefully the key code you could maybe connect with this guy?

Thanks for the response. Are you saying $30 is the cost of the system or your charge?
