Most likely when you changed the thermostat housing you allowed water to run onto the area beneath the intake manifold. Water is probably sitting on the knock sensors and shorting them.
You can try compressed air from a tire air hose blow drying the underside of the manifold. If it has been a few days and some driving time then the water is probably already gone and the damage to the knock sensors has occurred. The knock sensors are mounted in the valley area beneath the intake manifold.

Thanks for your input and suggestions. The knock sensors did get quite a bath, so I will probably have to replacement them both. FYI, I order my parts for Olivia from PartsGeek.com. They have great quality parts and you get your parts within a weeks time. Check them out.
