Default Leaking P/S Return Line

Good morning, gents

Came home from a recent trip out west to find the 100 sitting in the driveway leaking some kind of fluid. Got it up on the hoist to discover that the rubber line is cracked and leaking right where part #10 is located on this diagram, to the front of the clip/coupler.

My question to you is, is this repair as simple as disconnecting that clip, sliding a replacement chunk of hose on there, and clamping it back down again - or does this necessitate a complete replacement of the line and cooler? Only place I could find it was the dealer for $525+HST.

As always, your insight is appreciated.

Cheers,

David

Do you have a hydraulic hose company close to you? If so, you should be able to run it over to them and have them refit it in about 30 minutes and it shouldn't cost more than $75-100.

As a matter of fact I do - I worked there in highschool! If I can repair the line via this method, that seems like a no-brainer! Thanks for the insight!

You also might be able to disconnect that hose where it's leaking, cut that plastic quick connect off, slide it back on that metal tube and use a couple hose clamps. It's just a thought.

Hi David,

If you are stuck, I'll have a used one in my yard of parts cars.

I'm in the Great White North too!
