Leather Covered Dashboard

The 2 main issues were the parting line ( the horizontal line where the texture change and the fact that, due to the leather thickness, all the plastic trim pieces ( vents, switches, etc) would not fit correctly.
One of the guy told me that the only way to do it correctly was to do a mold of the dash and buit a new dash out of fiberglass

I pondered this while doing the trim on mine. The only way I can see it done correctly is to use Nappa/kid leather under 1mm thick, and several of them meaning stitched and fitted. Like an XFR dash. A real PITA, it's dash or screen out to do it right. I've not bothered just too much work to get wrong.
To make it look factory, the leather would have to extend to the centre console, and that's twin stitched, hard to do meaning expensive.

I asked a similar question on my Jag and they said it would cost me more than $ 2K .I also would like to have upper door panel trims as well .
Hey , you can also consider of alcantara / suede . They will look cool but it's surely not a cost effective option .
XFs come with leather trim and it really gives you a feeling of more quality than other rival models
