Hi guys just wanted to share this with u. I have ticking sound and still but now its much less by far couldn't really hear it . I added liqui moly lifter additive its so thick greenish liquid 300ml it didn't work immediately took like 10 minutes then the noise gone but now after about 2,5k miles the noise back little bit but it's not like before i think it degraded with time and miles . Just wanted to share that our x308 cat need special care sometimes 👍

Noisy top ends is part of using synthetic oil. Harley V twins make all sorts of racket with synthetic. Mine is quiet as a church mouse running VR1 Conventional racing oil.
Be careful what you dump in to mask the noise. Running thicker oil would do the same thing as that liquid moly, Lucas, or any other snake oil out there.
Nothing new to see here.

A deeper knock coming from down inside the engine is a rod bearing.
A rattle from the front is timing chain.

From where do you think the ticking noise is coming? A valve not closing all the way will give you a tap tap tap. Even a few thousands gap in the valve clearance will get noisy. Could be a bit of carbon on the seat. A leak down test would confirm.

Well if it's stretched it is...Mileage has nothing to do with it.
