I did not shoot much photos of my cruiser yet. From those I have this is in my opinion the most exciting.

The thing is, I the most expensive model of the range stands the test of time best in my opinion. Like the 07 Volvo S80 V8 looks much better now than the base 3.2, bigger wheels, more posh grille, etc.
I love the XJ8's looks too, but these days the bigger wheels are a standard. On its own the XJ8 is a perfect look, it's just that society dictates we need bigger wheels. I love the looks of the whole range, the base Vanden Plas looks great to me, the XJ8, all perfect. Parked next to other cars though I think the 18" wheels make the car a bit more appealing (relatively speaking).

On the racing track
This is my Daimler on the Nürburgring, the legendary Nordschleife, often referred to as "Green Hell".
Hard to drive this cruiseship around the sharp bends at high speeds. But it looks appealing and the ride was fun anyway.

I'm curious since we have basically the same car, and it was harder to keep the car under control on hard turns when I had the OEM 16" rims on mine.

@burmaz:
Sorry, I didn't have an eye on the track times. I was on the Nürburgring together with other enthusiasts from the forum ( you might like to read this thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/e...-2013-a-88015/ ). As most of us, including me, were the first time ever on the Nordschleife the aim was just to experience the ride with the own Jag and have a good time.
However I can answer your second question. The Daimler more tends to oversteer than to understeer. At the first two laps there were a couple of situations where I underestimated a bend and the rear of the Daimler tried to pass the front
I bet there were some funny looks from others. But I was too busy to keep the Daimler on the track to notice them
@L80OUS: awesome pictures!
