My favorite combination. Anthracite and black leather with asteroid wheels. This is a high mileage daily driver.

Last day of a beautiful and hot Indian Summer.
Car is behaving good.
Could not come up with anything more original then to buy some chrome licence plate surrounds for her.

That looks immaculate Eric! And that body kit highlights many of the lines...

After too much XJR neglect this summer due to what feels like never ending other projects, took her out and tested the heat for the one and only time of 2016 (it still works) and then tested the LSD and it still works

Very nice look- Does the snow plow on the front upset the handling though?

No complaints thus far. Hasn't affected aero from what I can feel and hasn't exhibited any weakness during any 120mph jaunts

Always a beautiful color, does very well with the lines of the x308.
I hope that is reflection on your left fender and door, not damage.

Thank you.
That IS a reflection from a the car parked across the street.

I guess that's not bad for a 15 year old daily driver paint job.

An other color I like, it fits beautifully to the XJ.

I see you got some panel line up problems.
You can adjust and line up the trunk lid by turning the inside stops on each of the corners, that will line it up with the rear panels.

And there seems to be something going wrong on the right front panel, not lining up with the hood.
I had the same on my Jeep Grand Cherokee, and spend 1/2 hr carefully pushing and bending to get it lined up correctly, perhaps worth a try.

This is my XJ, 1 owner. Thanks man! I see the black things when you open the boot, and you turn them to the right? the hood on the other part was beatiful until june of last year when I hit a deer and the hood, headlight grille and body damage was done. The old hood got stuck and we tried to open it by the forums it took 6 hours but the latch broke... The body shop fixed it and I bought a new hood, but he said that fixing it will cause the hood to get stuck. I call bs. but i will go to him again and get it fixed.

Yes, 2 small ones at the hinge side, 2 larges ones on the opening side.
It needs a little bit of trial and error to get it balanced, but you should be able to get it better than it is now.

It is extremely hard to diagnose on just a picture, but there are certainly things not correct.
Your hood seems to be off to the left, and certainly too high on the hinges.
This also results in the gap between the left fender and hood narrowing at the front.

To me, it looks your right fender is out of shape, bent inwards.
Look at the radius of the headlight, compared to the radius of the fender cut-out, as well as the gap between the headlight surround and the fender.

They should first line up the hood correctly in all directions, then adjust the fender accordingly. Finally, they should be able to adjust the bumper on the left side slightly backwards, so it lines up there as well.

so this means adjusting the hood and buying a new fender?

Great looking wheels, what brand are they ? what offset do you have fornt and rear ? did you have to make any particular modifications to fit them ?

Well, there is always an other side of the story, but if they left you with this as 'the best they could do', I am not sure I wanted to go back to them.

If it was my car, I should try to get some ideas from other body shops, it could be as simple as some fender-bending (..), or yes, perhaps a new fender, I really can't judge from the pictures.

Not knocking your car omg, just making an observation, but I see your shock tower bushings are disintegrating also. You may find a noticeably improved ride getting those fixed.
For what Eric has picked up on regarding the front end (and I concur about maybe not going back to them). Both fenders appear to be toed in at the lights. 2 things I would check on regarding this....first would be to see if you can spread your fenders just that bit they need for the hood to fit in between. If that is not possible, I suspect a bent Lower Crossmember and/or the assembly frame around the radiator. I hope its a simple alignment issue, but I would still be suspect of other.
I spent hours lining mine up a few years ago, polishing the light trim rings and what nots as I anally made micro adjustments. Yeah, I was bored that day...lol
