Looking great, KC, now imagine those shiny Penta's on them, will be a stunner ....
And I found the safest, and most rewarding way to clean up the engine bay is WD40, and lots of old rags.
WD40 dissolves most of the gunk, and leaves that satin finish for quite a long time (it just smells for 5 min after doing so ...).
Thanks, now if I can just get that engine bay like yours ! lol seriously what did you use to clean that, it looks great in the other thread.
KC I just use Simple Green to clean, and then ArmorAll to "shine"...............

Eric, wow, that does look REALLY good, I'll have to try that method!

Yessir, been using it for years, but you need to be sure you to wipe it off well on then reapply. When reapplying do it lightly so as to prevent re-attracting dirt again. That's an old detailers and car dealers schtick. If buying a car and you see that, look up under the car to see how lazy they may have been.
I also use it in the wheel wells to re-blacken the skirts, it gives it depth. Same goes for wiping it around your door and lid seals, it'll keep them moist and they'll last longer, plus, you really don't notice it until you do it, ...how it makes the car look newer.
Positively summer for Wellingon, people are still vertical

All in there were about 20 cars, and a stray Ferrari 488. There were only two XJ's, myself and a Series I XJ6. I counted 10 XK's, a few S-Types (old and new), an F-Type, and an E-Type
I know this thread is titled "sexy 308 pics", but after rsgensburg's posting of the XJ coupe pic, I had to post these pics of a 420G. Still probably the best looking 4 door Jag ever. It was the first Jag to have that backward-sloping radiator grill and front end, which was quite radical and futuristic looking in 1961, and became a Jaguar standard through the XJ series.
The highly successful XJ6 of 1968 was maybe more sporty looking, more compact and modern looking, but the MKX/420G was as luxurious as Jags got. 5" longer than our XJ8s, and even 1" longer than the LWB/VDP models, and a massive 7" wider, which gave a huge, luxurious interior, I have never seen larger more luxurious seats in an automobile than in the MKX/420G. The first 4-door Jag to have independent rear suspension, and on a track wider than that of the E-Type, and a huge trunk/boot too.
I had a 1964 dark blue MKX in the mid '70s, a 3.8 manual with O/D, it never gave any trouble all the time I owned it.
Absolutely beautiful car. One reason I love my X308 is that the styling elements harken back to this car and other vintage XJ sedans. I absolutely detest the styling of the new generation XJ-8s. I actually saw a 420 in a vintage car show recently and posted on Facebook about how old you have to be to remember a car that had those small front vent windows.
