I've been concocting my very own detailing spray (an in depth thread coming soon) tonight's the inaugural run on the new paint w/ the very unique lighting @ a local car wash. The witching hour strikes me to wipe her down lol.

My yard's such a mess currently w/ a unexpected/whim boat purchase(awaiting dock vacancy in May) & backyard privacy fence rebuild I have minimum space @ home lol. That car wash has really odd lighting it makes some color's like mine look iridescent, anyways it was @ midnight, I had it all to myself lol, and it poured rain not 2 hours later lol.

So you are a new owner of her?

She actually was on this forum several times, as pictures and video's circulated on the internet and YouTube.
Always wondered why it has the AutoCouture rear lip and side skirts, but missing the front lip ...
Yes I've had her for a year or so.

Easter Seal :
Well I sealed the virgin paint today, so it's a fitting title lol. Overcast conditions don't do the picture justice but made for prime sealing conditions, no sun streaking or spotting & low surface temp.

I used P&S Bead Maker Paint Protectant.

Well pleased to say the least.

What's great is that the paint guy said it was 95% "straight off the gun" w/ no sanding/buffing. He booked me in for 6 weeks(May 7th) after it left to come back for a thorough inspection & wet-sanding if needed. He has all my painting projects moving forward for sure.

Default Just because...

I went for an all too rare drive in my XJR today. I was supposed to just drive to get a haircut and back home so we can catch our movie on time. Instead, I skipped the haircut and just drove for an hour. That car is SO smooth and SO fast and So beautiful. Sorry, I'm biased I guess. I couldn't resist snapping a couple of pictures when I got back. It's not recently waxed, heck it hasn't even been recently washed. I still think it looks great.

P.S. - The instrument panel trim rings left the UK yesterday. I'll post a picture when I get all 6 of them installed.

Update :

Today was the 1st rain(torrential @ times) since I sealed it & wow the rain literally sheets/beads off completely, almost instantaneously. The windows do the same, this stuff is better than Rain-X in that application. The rims are still great & puddles just sheet right off as if nothing was there.

I was very apprehensive seeing nothing but high praise online for it (call me skeptic but that always triggers alarms). But if it is as durable as billed, it is indeed worthy of the internet's lofty status.
