So I investigated further, and 1) I was surprised how easily the headlight rims come off, and 2) how dirty they were!
All it takes is to press the headlight rim back slightly, then insert a small screwdriver under the top tang and leverage it up until it clears the clip and the rim basically pops out. To refit simply press into place until the tang drops into its slot.
My recently acquired 2002 XJR. Previous owners were Florida snowbirds, so the car was stored in their garage during the hot months. 38,000 miles. The chrome grill surround was reportedly special ordered by the original purchaser. Another Quartz Dark Gray car.

So, after many months of work, and getting ready for the British Display Day, that also included the JDCA Display Day, she got 3rs in the D'Splay Class, behind a D-Type replica....
Those Brembo/Jaguar brake calipers, are they a simple bolt on or brackets required, would like a set for my 2000 XJR?
There are a number of threads on this (one I made many years ago)....mainly titled Brembo or Brake Upgrade just follow it with x308 to get specific results. Thing is they are near impossible to obtain because they were only available a couple of years and mainly on XKR's. I've been looking for a set for years that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I'm going to go with a set of S-Type R's (already have them)...I need to modify the the mounting points.
The end of a beautiful, almost-Fall Sunday, and as the sun showed signs of setting, and I sipped on a cold beer, I couldn't help but admire the lines of these X308s and took a pic. Classic style!
