It has been a while, but here she is again, out in the open ....
The 2 year tumultuous affair with the XK8 is over, selling her off to the next adventurist ...
Need to replace the rear donuts, send out the interior mirror, and fix up my radio, but for the rest she is better than ever.
I sent my radio out to a company in California to put a little indiscreet aux jack into the front of the unit so I can plug my iPhone in. They can also put the jack in the back of the unit and by now, possibly they can do bluetooth. I am very happy not to have to use a cassette adapter. They also fixed my volume knob. Just in case you are interested, I am posting. https://factoryradioservices.com
How about some sexy quotes to go with the pictures?
From Wikipedia....
Motor Trend described the X308 as, "a masterful blend of British luxury and American muscle," continuing, "this car makes you feel elegant and gets sweeter by the mile," calling it a "musclecar in a tuxedo."[17]Brian Cooley, an editor of Roadshow by CBS, called the X308 his "favorite modern car."[18] In 2018, Motorious claimed the X308 provides the most luxurious ride of any car ever produced due to its status as the "last steel-bodied XJ and the first to feature a modern V8 drivetrain, the perfect concoction of classic and contemporary Jaguars," continuing that, "this is a car that fits anywhere it goes, be that the supermarket car park, a country hotel or even outside the Casino de Monte-Carlo."[19]Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear remarked that the X308 is "faster, in the real world, than a Ferrari F355... fastest saloon I've ever seen," the epitome of luxury, beauty, and performance.[20]
Very nice, two questions:
1. what's your new rim's spec? (I'm looking this: 18x8, 5x120.65 offset 30~45mm)
2. what brand is it? (I wonder if it's available in US)
hi for the bolt pattern, someone said 5x120 will work, but some said must be 5x120.65 ... Must it be 5x120.65? (since all with this pattern are very difficult to have right Offset figure) thanks
This is my Jag, it’s an XJR. I just bought it in October just the way it is, now I just gotta fix all the problems lol. At first I wanted to swap the rims to shiny black asteroids but these are starting to grow on me. What are your opinions?
