Default A Milestone Reached (Literally)

I hit the 100,000 mile mark as I drove through the Mersey Tunnel today. A little tricky to take a photo while navigating the tunnel but I managed to get relatively unblurry shot.

Low mileage compared to many on these forums, I know, but worthy of note for me.

Congratulations on your mileage benchmark! Hopefully you will see many more
of those trouble-free miles on your odometer.

Finished my headlight upgrade, along with a slew of other “projects”. I had looked for a decent projector conversion but found some led headlights that I think worked pretty well.

I have a feeling it is but am unsure, I got it second hand from someone breaking an XJR that had a few mods done to it. Doesnt look much like a Eurotoys, but its lacking the top mounted studs that Ive seen on the powerhouse units so....maybe an earlier version. Full disclosure I did have to trim the backside of the bumper about an inch in, and shimmed it out probably another 1/2" to just barely clear everything. But non of that is apparent once its mounted up.

How does the single wiper work on snowy coditions ? Does the unwiped areas affect lets say traffic lights read etc?

The single wiper is surprisingly effective in not leaving noticeably larger unwiped areas and the one top centre that two blades leave doesn’t exist. I’m tall - 6’-3” - and have yet to miss a second wiper - if anything, the reverse is true as I don’t get the passenger side wiper throwing water or slush onto the driver’s side of the windshield obstructing vision until the wiper on that side clears it and vice versa. With the single wiper, the swept area stays swept.

Yes, I find the single wiper configuration superbly engineered.

Nice. I tried to look in to this last summer when it rained heavily. But it is not possible to look or think this without actual snow or slush.

Pics with all the little door dings taken out. And a late Christmas pic. Happy new year to all.

Door dings.....The Duchess has not had that problem for a long time. While washing it recently,
I noticed one OUCH! It probably occurred on one of my recent "taking wife to dinner" episodes.
I try to park in a fashion that prevents that from occurring but you can't control the placement of
a car that comes after you, nor can you account for the insensitivity of that car's driver. Sometimes
I truly feel that they "wanted" to make that ding.
