I understand that the Lincoln 3.9 is the same engine, and an wondering if anyone had used the Lincoln head gaskets for a 2000 xjr that may need a new set. I also know that many recommend the 4.2 gaskets, but these seem to be 5-10 times the price. I am just trying to bring this girl back from the dead as a project car without spending a fortune. Gaskets, some hoses, validate tensioners.
Rock auto is having a sale on felpro gaskets.

I don't have any experience with the Felpros. This is what I use and never looked back.

D/S cylinder head gasket
NCC2541BC Payen brand

P/S cylinder head gasket
NCC2540BC Payen brand

2006 Range Rover 4.4
Cylinder head bolts
Quantity 20
Search Eurospare or call the range rover dealer. Wasn't much.

 

I can say FOR CERTAIN that the Ford/Lincoln head gaskets are DIFFERENT and will NOT fit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought a pair and the 3.9 gaskets DO NOT match-up to the Jaguar 4.0 or 4.2. The timing chain area is completely different.
